Beta Terms

Plain-language terms for using VacationOS while it's in private beta. Last updated 2026-05-04.

Beta status

VacationOS is currently invite-only. Access can be revoked at any time without notice — usually only because of abuse, but in any case the beta is not a guaranteed service. Features may change, break, or be removed without warning. Data loss is unlikely but not impossible during the beta.

Travel decisions are yours

VacationOS helps you organize what you've already booked elsewhere. It is not a booking engine and not a travel agent. We surface AI-generated suggestions, recommendations, parsed booking details, and translations — every one is a draft you confirm.

Verify everything important before you act on it: flight times, gate numbers, reservation references, visa requirements, allergens, dietary restrictions, emergency numbers, currency, opening hours, and so on. AI gets details wrong sometimes; double-check anything that would matter at an airport, hotel desk, or restaurant counter.

Translations and voice

Machine translations and voice transcriptions are not guaranteed accurate. Use them for casual phrases and wayfinding. Don't use them for medical, legal, financial, or emergency communication. Verify with a human when it matters.

Acceptable use

  • Don't try to scrape, bulk-download, or otherwise abuse the app.
  • Don't upload illegal content or other people's documents without their consent.
  • Don't use VacationOS to invite, contact, or store data about people who haven't consented.
  • Don't try to bypass authentication, tenant isolation, or rate limits.
  • Beta features have temporary daily limits to manage cost and prevent abuse. Hitting them gracefully is normal; trying to circumvent them is not.

Accounts that violate these rules get suspended or removed. We don't owe a refund — there's nothing to refund. The account ends; the data goes with it.

Limitation of liability

VacationOS is provided "as is" during the beta. We're not liable for missed flights, lost bookings, denied entry, dietary mishaps, translation gaffes, or any other consequence of acting on something you saw in the app without confirming it independently. Treat the app as a memory aid and a notebook, not as authoritative travel advice.

Privacy

Our privacy posture lives at /privacy. The short version: shared trip logistics are collaborative; passports, payment fragments, and other sensitive items are private by default and only readable by the uploader, the traveler they're about, or someone they explicitly grant.
